Deep conditioning: a treatment done for those with dry hair. Deep conditioners are created from chemical mixtures of concentrated protein and heavy cream base of moisturizers. A deep conditioner is applied and left on the hair for 10-20 minutes. An additional use of the heat through a dryer may b used to help the conditioner penetrate deeper into the hair and scalp. Brazilian Katerina treatment/straightening: keratin is the main building protein in our hair and nails. The protein is responsible for making hair thick, though, and elastic. Therefore, the treatment consists of the keratin and other proteins to fill in the gaps between the layers of the cuticle. This results in repaired damaged hair, leaving it soft, shiny, frizz controlled and smooth up to 4 months. The hair can additionally transform from curly to straight. Single process: a color is applied all over the hair to create a new base color. It is wonderful for covering grays or creating a new look. Highlights: highlighting your hair is an easy way to change your look. You can go from a natural look to a light look easily and quickly. Glazing: adds a shine and a healthy look to the dry, dull locking hair. It is a liquid product that is applied to the wet hair and left on for 10-20 minutes. It is then fallowed by a rinse. The glaze lasts up to 4 weeks. Color correction: with a consultation of the hairdresser, he or she will recommend what can be done according to what the damage is. Perms/body waves: a permanent wave is done through the use of chemicals to break and reform the bonds of the hair. The solution creates a chemical reaction that softens the inner structure of the hair by breaking some of the cross links within protein chains of the hair. This results in the hair swelling, stretching and softening, then the shape of the hair is creating into a body wave or curls. Relaxing: type of cream is applied to make the hair less curly for an easier straightening. The relaxer makes the hair more manageable, softer, sleeker and quicker to style.
